★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Another store in the city where one can get large varieties of ethnic wears both for male and female. The female section is on the up stairs..... Bengali people can get varieties of punjabis along with sherwani... They also have some shirts for male... It is located at Lindsy street.. Just opposite to simpark mall.....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Indian ethnic store. Quality of products are satisfactory, but, the price ranges are high. Can get similar products in various places in Kolkata, in low price ranges; that can be lil bit compromising in quality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well I am rating for this branch/store in Newmarket in particular! I have been to prapti thousand times in Gariahat and South City stores, but I have never met seen such ill-stocked shop. They don't have size beyond L/42 for men(only in this shop), and by the the way 42 for prapti is equivalent to 44 size for other renowned brands like Raymond's, van Heusen etc(got to know after buying unfortunately). I had got goods worth Rs.7000 from this shop for my brother and husband. All were 1 size small for them. And believe me there were no bigger size, i.e 44! but I could find them in the Gariahat store. I had to give away those things to someone else, as I can't make them(husband and brother) thinner to wear a panjabi or a shirt!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good place to shop, collection of ethnic attire is fairly nice but their service is very slow...i would recommend a change in this particular aspect...my friend ordered one shewani for his wedding in the month of January 2020 but ultimately got delivery somewhere in the month of February 2020 which was like damn is this what service is called ???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Even though I could not get what I sought, this is a chain of store, quite reliable and well stocked with clothes.
I am a bong and a die hard bong at that. Prapti's clothes are too glittering, zazzy and colourful for bengali tastes. Dresses are good but not ethnic. I went for a cotton ethnic kurti but got lost in colors and glitters.
Next day, I went to Fab India and had an abandunt supply of what I was looking for.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent collection of Nehru jackets and kurtas in the mid-range. My only complaint is that they charged money for alteration. Expensive Indian clothes usually require alterations. It is implied that alteration is part of the price, as these clothes cost a hefty amount. It shows how the store is transactional with its customers rather than building long term relations. Bad business tactic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Collections are really very good. Also, the quality. I always prefer prapti if I have to buy a Kurta or Panjabi. However, the New Market store has problems with payment options. Often the card swiping POS does not work properly and Nowadays I don't carry cash so it becomes trouble if this happens. I have faced payments related challenges twice. Otherwise, the collections are really good. Also, you can get kurtas in low/mid range here. Materials are very comfortable.
