Wondering what's the point of getting an appointment prior to the consultation? Very unprofessional staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had scheduled an appointment for endoscopy for my 70 yr old relative. Would definately not recommended this place as they are simply unprofessional and only focussed on making money. Below were my experiences:
1. They initially quoted ₹2700 on call and since my relative is a poor farmer from village they told me to speak to doctor at clinic and they will consider additional discounts. They also told us to be at the clinic sharp at 8:45am as Doctor will not be available after 9am
2. While we promptly waited at the said time, the doctor actually came at 9:25am. Doctor had no time to explain or let us know what he would be doing. He completed the procedure and barely spoke to us for 20 seconds before rushing out.
3. Suddenly after that, instead of giving us any concession, receptionist says to pay ₹3700 ( thousand more) saying they had to do additional tests. Highly unethical and unprofessional
4. Upon requesting to speak to doctor, they say it's not possible and insist to pay money
5. Receptionist arrogantly also says that you can put what ever review you want and we are not bothered as in Bangalore we have many scapegoats like you. I haven't seen such arrogant, rude and unprofessional behaviour so far in any hospital / clinic.
Thank you Doctor for explaining your ethics in your reply below:
1. fleece the patient's if they are blue collared. Doesn't matter if patient is a marginal farmer - son in law is a blue collared guy who will pay anyway!!
2. Take signature from a 70 yr old patient without briefing what is written on the consent form.
3. Once the patient has come you can do any tests without informing the patient or attendant and charge them anything - after all the patient's do not have an option or right to know.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr. Rajkishori Godhi was sensitive, knowledgeable, caring and efficient during my consult. Dr.RajKishori Godhi later, on her own interest and concern guided me to life-style changes. She allowed me to express my concerns and resolved very well. Unlike other Doctors, I was not asked to undergo lab tests, nor did the Clinic try to get me back for follow up. All acts indicated they cared about patient health.
On my way out, I stopped by the Receptionist/Office Manager and they denied any fee - as I had recently visited for similar issue. This left me embarrassed, guilty as I had received great value of services. With this experience I can say that this clinic is for Patient Welfare and they are their to help and serve in a efficient, professional manner. My sincere thanks to Dr. Rajkishori Godhi and staff for the outstanding service which showed empathy, patient welfare more than anything.
