Great for couples. The place has a serene beauty of the river. The view of Vidyasagar Setu is mesmerizing. The best place for a couple to visit. In the evening, couple can easily make out kiss. The place offers a very romantic view as well. There are many vendors Available for water, snacks. Families please avoid to visit as a lot of PDA happening.

It is a great place to visit with families, friends. The ambiance is very good and calm. It is a good place for Photography also. From Princep ghat the Howrah bridge is clearly visible. And it looks so amazing specially in the evening when the howrah bridge is lighting up by various colors of light. And people can enjoy the beautiful view of Ganga. Moreover it is a nice place to visit specially in the evening time.

Nice place to chill out and have a stroll with your friends. At sunset, it has amazing view due to the reflection of the setting sun from the hooghly river. There are some food stalls and thelaas, where you can get cheap street food. Not exactly such an attractive place, no need to spend time if you're in hurry.

Prinsep Ghat is one of the oldest recreational spots of Kolkata.People visit it in the evenings on weekends to go boating on the river, stroll along the bank and purchase food from stalls there. A 2-kilometre (1.2 mi) stretch of the beautified riverfront from Prinsep Ghat to Babughat (Baje Kadamtala Ghat) was inaugurated on 24 May 2012.It has illuminated and landscaped gardens and pathways, fountains and renovated ghats. One of the songs in the Bollywood film Parineeta was shot here on the ghats.

Prinsep Ghat is a ghat built in 1841 on the Kolkata bank of the Hooghly River in India. The Palladian porch in the memory of the eminent Anglo-Indian scholar and antiquary James Prinsep was designed by W. Fitzgerald and constructed in 1843. There is no entry fee. You can enter visit the monument, sit at the lawn and take pictures at your will. Having street food and watching the sunset with your loved ones beside the Ganga is one helluva memory anyone will cherish forever. This place has paid boat ride option too. Prinsep Ghat also has a railway station named after it. The station is part of the Kolkata Circular Railway which is maintained by Eastern Railway. The station code is PPGT. There is a jetty nearby called the Man-O-War jetty that belongs to the Kolkata Port Trust and commemorates the role played by the port in the Second World War. The jetty is mainly used by the Indian Navy.
