I had enrolled in “ Sourav Sir’s Classes “ for the ISI (Indian Statistical Institute) M.Stat entrance examination course , in the early September of 2015. The course included both the maths and statistics part. There were several PROBLEMS faced by me which are listed below : 1. No separate classes were given for the preparation of the ISI stats part. After repeated telling for a long time , stats classes were given with the ACET and CT batches. 2. The stats taught in those classes weren’t even close to the standard of ISI . 3. Concerning the study materials given by the institution : Maths : It was okay but did not cover all the topics. Stats : It was horrible . There were no heads or tails to it. Just a collection of pages. 4. Regarding doubts , he hardly solved any of them. I faced three situations : a . When there were no doubts , Sir scolded me infront of the whole class. b. When I had doubts , he told me to forward them in watsapp but they were never solved , even after repeated telling. c. When I asked to re-explain a topic , I was blamed for not studying properly. d. Before JAM exam he was reluctant to solve my doubts stating that I had enrolled for ISI . But he didn’t mind taking ISI and JAM maths classes together. Moreover a part of JAM and ISI maths syllabus is common. I had also offered to pay him extra to help me out for JAM , to which he turned a deaf ear. 5. Since I did my graduation in Statistics from Chennai , I didn’t have much Maths. I stated this problem to Sir right in the beginning and he promised to teach in depth. This is precisely why I joined the tuition . But nothing of that sort , was done in the classes. 6. Very few sums on maths topics were done. One topic called “Sequence and Series” were taught several times with the same set of problems but in different batches. 7. Examinations were taken after repeated requests and answer sheets were not returned. 8. Hardly any extra classes were given , for those classes which he didn’t take. 9. Being fed up, with this irregularity and irresponsibility , I had to leave the tuition in the middle of February. Only 15-20% of the maths portion was covered and that too , not properly. 10. Since he took the entire course fee right in the beginning , it was a total loss of my money and time. So if any of you out there are dead serious about these high-level competitive exams , then it is a smart decision to study alone or find another tutor than to enroll in this institution . It was a horrible experience. P.S. : This is not to defame any institution or person but rather are true incidents that happened to me. .

Very bad teaching process. Useless study mat, does not cover syllabus, he hardly touches the hard topics. Waste of money. Forces every one to give good review. If one is determined of pursuing something something good in academics or career, please enroll in some professional classes. Don't fool yourselves or let others fool you.

a well managed class with a very down to earth attitude of sir. associated with the claass over 1 year now and I believe the model sir has followed is really very helpful from a student's perspective. Sir is availavle over whats app , and all the queries which i have asked is being answered , which also a very rare phenomenon now a days. the environment of the classroom is so helpful that everyone can participate equally . the online backup classes also helpful. if you are not a student here then also you can see his videos and get to know a lot of new things.

hello i have cracked ibps exam recently and all the thanks goes to sir. this coaching center has helped me to to reach the heights of success . sir has taught me how to dream, many things in his classes are inspiring. like , 1 . the lectures, 2. the study materials, 3. the examinations on regular basis, 4. extra doubt clearing classes . In recent past I have many issues with sums but his unique short cut techniques has helped me a lot. each class was 100% oriented towards knowledge gathering and i recommend his classes to all

Classes aren't properly scheduled, creates a major issue for students taking parallel courses. Charges exorbitant fees for all courses. Study materials are of no use and are mostly plagiarised. Constant pressure to buy his books from e-stores. We were told that we only needed to pay for the course , but we had to buy the books as well: a complete rip off! Very ill mannered. Started to behave rudely after receiving the complete course fee. Indecent and unprofessional behaviour towards female students which speaks volumes about his mentality! Below standard study environment. My personal take would be to be on the look out for better coaching; there are many of those out there.

One of the best classes. The way of teaching is very helpful. The study materials they provide covers all and i really like the solved sections. All the problems are solved. The approach is really noce. Another very useful thing is sir helps to think multidimensionally. Heshowed me the way me to pursue many different ways in studies. The formation of every lecture is inspiring. He always comes to class with a surprise and ends with the same. Classes are very regular here . Sirs behaviour is so good. I am really happy to become a part of his classes.

Sir has been so helpful . He came to our college for a special training for job related classes and in a 3 hr class it was a very enjoyable and informative. Sir has helped me and my friends to understand many tricks in mathematics and i really like the way he taught us. The best thing was the short cut tricks and the jokes he cracked in the class. It was never boring and i am so satisfied with the best way of teaching which sir has given .

The way of teaching is very helpful. Study materials they provide covers all the syllabus and the solved sections of the materials are very useful and helpful. Their approach is really nice. Another very useful thing is sir helps to think multidimensionally. He showed us the ways to pursue many different sectors in studies. Class notes will motivate a student to study at home too. Classes are very regular here . Sir's behaviour is very nice and he is always ready to help out a student. I am really happy to become a part of this group.
