★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The railway station is situated in the heart of the city and have few trains plying throughout the day. The most prominet being the Radhikapur Express to Kolkata and the Kulik Express to Howrah everyday. The station needs a thorough revamp. It has one okayish platform and the second platform (Platform no. 2) which presently handles the long distance trains is in a pathetic shape. There is no drinking water booth, no toilets, and there is not even a proper shed that could protect the passengers from the elements on Platform 2. The railway surely needs to droph their apathetic approach and look into this matter and work proactively for the sake of the passengers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This station requires a lot of improvement. The 2nd platform where the mail trains usually stop requires to have longer shade. The one present is very small and does not cover more than two or three bogies. So passengers have to stand in open and face rain and sun. The scene is ugly in the rainy season. The public announcement system don't have any speakers in the 2nd platform. So announcements are not audible in the platform no2

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Truely it's Very neat and clean. Platform no. 2 is best for evening walk which is 500 m long. Train availability is poor here but surely very soon the connectivity will increase and each one of you will be benefitted.
