★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was really happy to see the improvement and progress at New Delhi Station on Platform 1/Paharganj side. Nice and clean station, a great Indian flag. Supporting railway staff and Police staff. Good art on walls.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My most favorite at New Delhi Railway Station....A Giant celling fan!!!!! Well, I like everything about NDLS very neat and clean, you may get all information from inquiry counter with smiling faces.
There is E-Cart for physically disabled I was at paharhganj side. Went there to see off some relatives.and saw tejas Rajdhani yes train was also very clean.... Most important now doors are being centrally locked. So I found it more safe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Railway station is good a bit crowded as it is Delhi so its gonna be. But guiding boards are not that easy or available so you may hinder for exit or metro station way. Its an experience you may find it tricky and interesting

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ (Jan 2020) I gave 5 stars for all the nice people I met here. I was warned by my friend about the railway system of India but of course, never thought it could be that chao tic. It was packed! But anyway they have anything that a train station should have. BOOK TICKET IN ADVANCE is a must if you are tourist.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ New Delhi railway station is actually between ajmerigate and pahargan.it is the main railway station in delhi. It is huge railway station hence it has 2 sides of entry/exit.named ajmerigate and Paharganj. It is largest and busiest becoz of train frequency and passenger movement. Around 400+ trains daily passes.and always full of crowed. Once u exit.it is again full of taxiwala and autowala.asking u to where u want to go within Delhi (although best option for long route within city is ignore autowala/taxiwala.n. Go to metro station which is near to railway station from either side.it is cheapest and fastest way to travel)
Most of the distance station is covered by the trains which are from here. Railway Authorities should focus on cleanliness of the platforms and employees should behave properly with the customers.
Not world class but better in facilities from many Indian railway stations
Some self service kiosks do not work maybe also because many passengers do not know how to operate them so it gets damaged / become out of service,
Opened in the year 1926 with a single platform, this station now has 16 platforms. Situated between Ajmeri Gate and Paharganj is the main railway station of Delhi, the New Delhi Railway Station. This station is considered the third busiest with 500,000 passengers daily.
The major attraction of this station is the Travel Executive Lounge at platform no. 16. Also, the platforms have vegetarian and non-vegetarian refreshment rooms and light refreshment stalls managed by IRCTC. There are facilities for passengers waiting for connecting trains that include waiting rooms, chargeable cloak rooms, AC or non-AC retiring rooms and dormitories. Parking facility is available around the station. This is chargeable. Strict baggage checking and police personals keep at bay security threats
