I have crossed this national park several times in the last two decades. Have seen many small and large wild animals crossing path on the road. Good thing there is a flyover now, that gives the animals little more privacy and freedom to move around. My favourite memory is of a huge and regal Barasingha that I encountered one night. My bus, and several other vehicles behind it, had stopped at a fair distance from a herd of elephants crossing the road. I was sitting at the front seat. Suddenly a mighty Barasingha appeared right in front of me with its horns gleaming in the light of the bus. Reminded me of the Harry Potter's stag, only better!

They do not provide any receipt for payment. For such a large payment, a receipt should be provided. In Feb 2022, they asked this amount: 1. Gypsy hired for 3 hr in park Rs. 2500 2. Vehicle entry fee Rs. 250 3. Eco committee charge Rs. 50 4. Tickets for Indian charge Rs. 150/person 5. All applicable taxes and service charges= 900 However, not all this information is written on Rajaji website. This information should be clearly written, to avoid any irregularity by any insider. Also, someone should check whether the amount told to us was correct. Ideally, payment should be allowed on a web-enabled portal itself, which provides a receipt.

view is enthralling, you can get to see leopard, elephant, wild boar and variety of deers, kingfisher and other exciting wild life. Safari is so comfortably arranged, which will make you immerse in the nature for three hours.

[I'll write everything from my personal experience and enquiries from there] Opening and closing time:- 6 am to 9 am and 3pm to 6 pm. In the evening time you will be allowed to enter the jungle safari max at 5pm. I would recommend to go more in little rainy season. Deers, elephants, apes.. etc.. are the animals you will see most probably. Very rare chances are there to see tigers.

Its a good place if you like nature, but if you are expecting to see animals then it will disappoint you. We manager to see only deer. There was nothing else. Jeep's tyre got a flat tyre in the middle of our trip in Rajaji National park and driver didn't have jack to change tyre. We got stuck there for 15 minutes and driver manager to videos a jack from another driver. This could have been dangerous.

Entry time is morning 6-9 and evening 3-6. Better to go early morning. There are 4 ranges(entry point). I went thru cheela range which was a little bit busy. Heard ranipur range is not that much busy
