April 20th 2015, The wildlife enthusiasts have a reason to cheer. The state Government after a long wait of about 30 years, has at last issued the final notification for the Rajaji National Park which consists of 9 ranges and is spread over 820.40 sq.km. of Haridwar, Pauriand Dehradun districts of Uttarakhand. The initial notification for the setting up of the Park under the Project Elephant was issued in 1983. However the final notification could not be issued since various hurdles had to be cleared. It may be recalled here that the Park, which marks the northern limits of the Asiatic elephant, is one of the safest heavens for jumbos in the country. At present, there are about 415 elephants in the Park and the male, female ratio is excellent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful stay. Wonderful people. Food was excellent and the staff was always willing to provide services. Night was cosy and the campfire was the icing on the cake. Jungle safari was excellent and we got some great pictures of elephants. Thanks for giving us this great experience.

Tent facilities were decent too. Toilets were clean. Good Safari and nature walk experience with the very kind and friendly, Shashi ji. Only suggestion, add some folding beds if an extra bed is needed. Sleeping on a mattress on the floor in cold weather can never be a great thing. Rest, all superb ! Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rajaji Tiger Reserve Safari was a wonderful experience and the most economical safari ever been to. I didnot get a glimpse of the tiger but yes fresh tiger footprints were there ! Peacocks, different kinds of deer and even herds of elephants are there in the Chila area of the Reserve. Also, to stay closer to the nature, we decided to put up in the tents available there where the accommodation was quite comfortable and the food was very homely too. ( Indian style ) . The nights are a lil scary too when u get a hear gunshots at short intervals all the time !

Overall, it was a really nice experience to stay at this place. If you plan to visit the Rajaji National Park, this place is where you should stay.

The owner himself is very helpful too. He picks up calls even at midnight to answer queries. I recommend this place very much.
