the use of a focimeter, or lensometer, to verify the correct prescription in a pair of eyeglasses, properly orient and mark uncut lenses, and to confirm the correct mounting of lenses in spectacle frames.
Another indispensable piece of equipment is a pupillometer. A pupilometer is a tool for more accurately measuring interpupillary distance(IPD or PD). It is used for fitting eyeglasses so that the lenses are centered in the visual axis.
The fitting and dispensing of contact lenses requires the use of additional equipment, all with very specific purposes. A keratometer is a diagnostic instrument for measuring the curvature of the anterior surface of the cornea, particularly for assessing the extent and axis of astigmatism.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What I really liked about the store is that you get a really good professional response from the store. Nothing to be surprised about since it is manned usually by the owners - the father and son duo.
Professionally qualified and having been in the business, their work is extremely thorough. For example I took the prescription for my 7 year old daughter and at the branded Eyewear stores opposite to this one, the counter staff could not even locate the correct and final prescription. Now that according to me is the mark of a person who is knowledgeable and has excellent experience.
Sadly the branded outlets are a big disappointment on this front.
Also we got the order delivery the very next day evening (less than 24 hours). In contrast one leading branded outlet has "30 minutes delivery" plastered on the entrance BUT doesn't do anything remotely close to that even in 30 HOURS.
