★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Balaram Mandir is a temple and a branch of Ramakrishna Mission and Ramakrishna Mathlocated at 7, Girish Avenue, Baghbazar, Kolkata.
Balaram Mandir was the residence of Balaram Bose, a disciple of Ramakrishna. On 1 May 1897, Swami Vivekananda organized a meeting in this house to finalize his plans to establish Ramakrishna Mission. In 1922, the converted into an independent place of worship for Ramakrishna-Vivekananda followers. In 2002, it became a branch centre of Ramakrishna Mission.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We the followers of the holy TRINITY, like Sri Ramakrishna, Maa Sarada Devi, & Swami Vivekananda are greatful to the then house lord sri Bakalan Bose for his life ling service to the RAMAKRISHNA MISSION & MATH. Sri Ramakrishna deb declear that this house is the FORT OF CALCUTTA to him. He spent almost hundred times in this house & after his disappearance from the metarialstic world Sri Maa Sarada Devi also spent some time here. Not only that, Swami Vivekananda formed the RAMAKRISHNA MISSION here after his returned from the WEST in 1897. Almost all the direct disciples lived here time to time. So this is convert from BALARAM house to BALARAM MANDIR & became the center of Ramakrishna Math and Mission.
