★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Riva waterfall is just 2 hours from Chandigarh but it's no more a hidden place now as you can go here easily with the help of Google maps..After parking your vehicle near bridge you have to walk for 4-5 minutes to reach the waterfall..Some portion to the waterfall is narrow and has no support on one side it means you have to be very carefull otherwise in case of leg slip it would be very fatal. Now this place is no longer good to bring young kids and female partner especially on weekends because many antisocial youngsters come here to enjoy drinks and drugs so it's not that much safe. One more thing about this place is that there is no shop, no control by authority, nothing.. Most of the people leave their mess (beer bottles, chips packets, plastic glasses) here only, which is a major concern for the environment and also reduces beauty of this place.. Some people say that the water of the waterfall is basically treated water of the sewage of Solan city, that is the water is not city for drinking. There is no changing room here, yoh have to do it between public. keep this thing in your mind. 1hour is sufficient to enjoy this place. Enjoy the beauty but please don't litter. As per locales, the waterfall remains active through out the year.
