It's a great historical spot approx 800 years old, belongs to Siri dynasty. Well maintained but avoid visiting in late hours

Alaudinn Khijee, the feared muslim king founded this city after beheading 6000 Mongols in Mongolpuri (also in Delhi), in the 1200's, stopping any future attempts by the Mongols to invade India, in the process safeguarding the ancient culture and history of India since Mongols destroyed every remnant of the country they conquered. The word 'Siri' means head, hence the name. The mosque in which Khiljee prayed still stands, almost intact right at the entrance of Shahpur Jat, the name it is known as now. India owes a gratitude to Khiljee for time and again repulsing the Mongols, culminating in the butcher of the Mongols which was the last time they looked at India. It is recommended that one read up a bit on Siri before venturing out here. Much of the medieval city was destroyed, inadvertently during the building of the Asiad Games Village, to host the participants of the ASIAD games, held in Delhi in 1982.

I visited this area (ruins of Siri fort) yesterday. Deboarding ay the Panchsheel Park metro station, I walked less than a kilometre to this place, asking people the way (route). There is no sign board or anything to guide the visitor to this place. There was onlt the remains of some stone walls there. No visitors were there. Few masons were working there making the pavement. There is nothing to see there. It is a long stretch of narrow land with a park on one side and residences on the other.

Siri Fort was built on the severed head of Mongol soldiers.

Nothing extremely interesting to see here. You need to enter through DDA Park. There is an entrance near the water tower of the DDA park. It is pretty untouched with school children coming here after school.

The ruins of the Siri Fort exist at one side of the Panchsheel Park D.D.A. Ground at the Hauz Khas area in such a peculiar way that even local people cannot guide a tourist to get to the proper gate to the monument. This fort once used to rule over the territory of Delhi, under the leadership of none other than Alauddin Khalji. Currently, only the ruins of this fort remains at the place, and an extended lawn in between, perfectly built for picnics. The historical significance of this place is also in the ruins along with the place due to lack of maintenance.
