Kala jamun is the black or dark purple variant of Gulab Jamun. Kala jamun are coated with sugar or sugar is added in batter before frying. Kala jamuns get their characteristic black color because of deep frying.

The cakes here are at a lower price not that much branded type cakes which you were expecting like from the monginis..

Cons:
Cleanliness is a worry.
Sometimes gets crowded.
Sweets quality needs to be at par with harilal, haldiram etc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As local and authentic as it can get. Very humble sweetshop located in the busy area of Danapur bus stop. But trusted for great sweets esp the Kala Jamun which is a little unconventional. A must try. Online payment can be made.
