Good government hospital in Kamarhati Kolkata area. Good environment for patients.This is a life line for poor people and middle class people, they can get free treatment from there without any hesitation and any trouble.

Doctors are experts and hear patients condition carefully, if an ecg or x-ray has to be done, a token is given fron 24 no house and the charges is nill(no cost for ecg and x-ray, usg) ; Doesn't matter how long the line is for any particular opd , a patient doesn't have to wait for more than 4 hours. There are various departments and all departments have expert doctors , trainees doctor and other staff to take care of patients . Some parts of the hospital lack of cleaniness but its human fault too , for heap of garbages. Emergency opd is very good in concern of medical emergency .

Very quick treatment by the doctors in emergency... Specially the radiology department is extremely superb,,, you will get your X-ray and CT Scan free of cost... Also you will get the report immediately...

Very Disappointing against what I had heard about this hospital. No senior(experienced) surgeon was there when I was operated for a minor infection. I came out of the OT bleeding. They were doing MS perhaps and were not even ready to listen the past of the infection, if I am trying to tell them one of them called me don't be oversmart. Dude this is not how professional behaves. Keep your ego outside the OT. Look how you bandaged. Thank you for what ever you did or tried to do.

This review is for all those who want to know about Sagore Dutta Medical College and those who are looking for the best available Medical College after clearing NEET.... Advantages:-- 1.The first reason for choosing this college is ofcourse being a fully State Govt. run College in Kolkata... There is huge advantage of staying in Kolkata for the upcoming 5.5 Years in terms of availability of quality NEET PG Coaching Centres and all sorts of Co-Curricular activities.... 2. This is one of the most rapidly developing Medical Colleges.. In a Span of just 2 3 years, there has been tremendous evolution of the infrastructure both in the Academia and Public Hospital.... A complete Govt. run Cancer Hospital is constructed, the first of its kind under a Govt. Med. College in Bengal....  3.The Practical Classes are of efficient qualities.... having only 50 students in a group ensures utmost care given to individual students,avoiding unnecessary crowding.... Only 10 Students at a time are meant for Dissection Class while each one is provided with separate Microscope for the Physio and Histo Practicals...Same goes for Every Clinical Ward 2nd Year onwards… 4.This is the first Med. College in Bengal set up after 2005 to open MD courses in 2019(Admitted through NEET PG).... Right now, there are 14 Post Graduation Subjects in the College, including both Clinical and Non-Clinical… 5.The Hostel facilities are again one of the best among all Med. Colleges.... Large Rooms meant for only 2 Students provide 24 hours of uninterrupted Electricity.... Any Problem reported in the hostel room is taken care within 24 hours almost without fail.... All Boys' , Girls' and Intern's Hostel are fitted with Dual Elevators....  6.There is 'NO RAGGING' inside the Campus,be it the Hostel or Academic building.... Anti Ragging Committee here is extremely powerful too, in case any such matter is reported in future....  7.The Senior Junior relationship is Very healthy and respectful in the College Premises.... Anybody interested in Cultural activities is given the full chance to deliver irrespective of which Year he/she is in.... The College Auditorium is fully utilized for hosting several programmes throughout the year, which is one of the most beautuful Auditoriums in the City....  Disadvantages: -- 1.The patient flow is still lesser than that of other 5 Medical Colleges in Kolkata.... Never the less, once the Cancer Care Institute is functional within 3 4 Years, there will be huge inflow of patients..... 2.Some Specialised Outdoor departments are not there currently in the Hospital which are planned to open in near future.... ~From First hand experience.... P.S.-- CMSDH came to be known Nationwide when it became the First college in West Bengal to pave the way for Mass Resignation to protest for Doctors' Safety Movement,thus making the way for almost 800 more Doctors all over the Medical Colleges and Hospitals in the State. Myth Buster: ( Some People Asked me about this,so to clear the confusion)…. We,the students of CMSDH have ample oppurtunities for Dissection Classes… And We Don’t go to other colleges for Dissection…. Rather, the Guru Nanak Dental College is in a collaboration with CMSDH and they come to our College for Dissection and other Theory and Practical Classes….

If you compare with another government hospital at WB then it is quite good. Cleanliness maintained. Doctors and house staffs are good. Personally , I don't recommend any government hospital. If you have any economical issues then only you come here.
