Some dacoits are there. They are not priests. They know only the pocket of devotees. Fully dirty area. The trustee does not look into the cleanliness of the premises and surrounding.

On the way to Puri Jagannath.. This temple is 3-4 km away from highway before Malatipatpur. The popular story of this temple is Lord krishna came from Brindavan for his devotee to give justification in front of King. For this reason the name of Lord krishna is "Sakhi Gopal".

Divine experience. Splendid architecture of the Temple and Mukhshala blown us away. Huge parking space right infront of the temple. Prasad is available inside for which a ticket is required. Omm Vishnu ?

Sakshigopal Temple formally known as Satyabadi Gopinatha Temple is a medieval temple dedicated to Lord Gopinatha located in the town of Sakhigopal on the Puri Bhubaneshwar highway in Odisha. The temple is built in the Kalinga Architecture style. The Gajapati King of Orissa Sri PurusottamDev brought the Gopal statue from Vidyanagar after the place easconred by him (1467 to 1495).The King installed the statue at his fort at CUTTACK which was worshipped by Lord Chaitanya on his way to Puri. After muslim invasion the statue was shifted from place to plale by the Khurda chiefs and at last it was stationed at ALASA.It is told the other name of Sakhigopal is Alasa, but at present there is small village called Alasa near Sakhigoal. At a later stage due to influence of Gita Govinda (written of Jayadev) people accepted the dual sculpture of RADHA KRISHNA,which is otherwise known as 'JUGALMURTI' and accordingly the King of Ranpur of Puri district offered one statue of Radha. The height of Lord Krishna is 5 feet and that of 'Devi Radha' is slightly more than 4 feet. The temple is famous for celebrating the annual Anla Navami Festival (Anla = gooseberry; Navami = ninth day in a lunar cycle). The festival is associated with the practice of touching Radha's feet (Radha was the legendary lover of Lord Krishna). Legend has it that the temple was originally without a statue of Radha. But when a girl named Lakhmi claimed to be the incarnation of Radha, and it is believed that Lord Krishna (here as Gopala) should not be without his true love Radha, a statue from northern India was installed here. The statue had originally Ghagra and Choli adorned but when it was clad on a traditional saree of Odisha, the feet of the statue was visible and the priests took it for a holy sign. From that day Anla Navami is celebrated and Hindu pilgrims are allowed inside the temple to touch the goddess's feet. Hundreds of thousands of devotees throng the temple on this holy occasion.
