★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Though the company makes furniture with good design and provides good quality timber, the behaviour of the lady who seems to be the person in charge is very bad. She is always in a mood to cheat people. They wont provide a proper bill, and if you ask for it, they will impose GST. And no warranty / guarantee on products. Moreover, their after sales service is just pathetic. Even the local shops provide much better after sales service than them. I purchased a king sized solid timber bed from them on November, 2017. But, within a year the hydraulic broke down. Even after complaining several times, finally after 2 weeks someone came to repair it. When initially I complained, she said they would charge Rs. 500 to replace the hydraulic. After 2 weeks, finally when the person was about to come, she said we need to pay 700. When my wife confornted, she said okay pay Rs.500. When the service person came, he replaced only 1 hydraulic out of the two and demanded Rs. 500. Again, when I called the shop, the lady said you keep the other one from the pair , but need to pay Rs. 500. Then the service person said he brought only 1 piece from the pair, then she said pay Rs.350. Just look at their pathetic after sales service, and the unfair means they adopt to cheat the customers. I even called up their head office at Howrah to inform, the person who picked up the phone told me that he would take some action, but no more feedback received from him.
I thought of changing my current furnitures at home and replace them with timber products from them, but the harassment that I faced after buying the bed, I am never going to buy a single product from them in future.
Beware before buying anything from Samanta Furniture, specially their showroom at Gachtala, Tollygunge.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The lady who sits at the counter needs to learn manners. She tried to condescend my mother and we are a returning customer. Her tone and language is horrendous. Products are not bad. They also have a huge range.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although this is a furniture shop, do not go in expecting custom furnitures. They have pre designed furnitures with just the option of changing the colour of wood. Don't expect to bargain either. Overall, very dissatisfied with their stock and customer service
