My mother doesn't like to meet people. She is anti-social. When she meets people she says on their face "kyu aa gaye hai ye, mere ko abate nazi karni hai." And when she comes to Samvedna, she likes dressing up, something she always liked to do and is happy. On the way she always says the same thing - "kitna traffic hai" - she notices and is not zoned out. She comes here and she talks to everyone, she smiles, which is a big achievement for me. As you know dementia is a progressive disease, so we can work on delaying it as much as possible. I think keeping her happy and some mental interaction is good. And I am happy I am bringing her here, talking to her, which otherwise at home she just shuts down. She says at home TV dekho, here she talks.
