★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's called Samtabere, thr place where famous bengali writer Kathashilpi Sarat chandra Chattopadhyay lived. He wrote many novels here. His house is now a heritage building. In front of the house, there is a statue of him. His used chair, table, bed, clock, personal photographs,charka and many more goods has been preserved well. In every year his birthday celebration is observed here. Just a few minutes walking from here the river Rupnarayan is flowing. Outstanding view of riverside is an extra gift to the visitors. In an around, there are many vilages which may also be seen. Environment of the place is really charming. Car, Electric rickshaw and Van rickshaw are usually running there. Roads condition is good. Overall a traditional village atmosphere is available here. Hope, surely it'll be revisited.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Frankly the heading is misleading. There is indeed a statue of the great Bengali novelist in the premises of the house in which he lived for a long time. The visitors can see the pond in front of his house in which the two fishes, namely, Kartik and Ganesh two notable characters of one of his novels lived and who would respond when called by their names. The rooms in the house have been restored and the feel of the life and times of the novelist can be felt. The first floor veranda is lovely. It takes some effort to reach the place but the milling crowd is a testimony of the popularity of the novelist even now.

You have take auto to reach that place.there is a Subarnarekha river. very nice view.there are a statue of Sarat Chandra Chattapadhya. there are old furnitures used by the famous writer.There is a care taker who take care of this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a well known place of sarat chandra chattopadhyay's house in Deulti of Howrah District. In all the year many tourists are coming from different places of west bengal and surroundings. The place is realy beautiful. Rupnarayan river is also here. You can enjoy a lot of things here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Peaceful place to hangout with family and friends.There is nice and we'll maintained garden surrounding the building.with a few steps you will see to the bank of riverRupnarayan.
The river bank is now truned to a picnic spot.over all good and highly recommend place for short day trip from Kolkata.
