Outside food is not allowed.
There is an icecream parlour in the garden:)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sarita Udyan, it brought back so many memories for me, especially since I have visited it frequently as a young student (school, college and university days). Used to cycle from home and then jog and then do a cross country hike as well in the morning.
Now it looks neatly manicured and tastefully done in terms of landscaping. However, the thrill of discovery and exploration is all gone with this. Missed the metallic 'rocket' that used to mark the landscape, which we used to clamber up as kids and even much later about 10-12 years back.
However, really happy to see the beautifully maintained gardens and the toilets inside and outside. Plenty of peafowl in the gardens. As also other birds. Evidence of presence of nilgai going by the footprints and droppings.

Security don't let go with home food there.so, if you plan to go there with your home made food and eat in beautiful atmosphere, you would have to eat food at outside of park or in parking.
I also share rules and regulations.

Best place for children.
Best place for runners.
Best place for walking.
If you want something change you must try.
If you want picnic best option in gandhinagar.
You need to come with your family and friends. Enjoy the life.
I suggest you need to come on two wheeler because most of people come with car issue face parking. Garden is too big. Parking is also big but weekend very crowded.
Food also available so enjoy it.
You can not take packed snacks.
You can take home made snacks for children.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Peaceful and beautifully maintained garden. A great place for your morning and evening walks. The peacocks are always around, which is an added bonus. The park has some equipment and most of it is functional.
