Very serene and peaceful. Beautiful location on the foothills of a nearby hill. Adjacent lake also adds to the picture perfect image. Being a ayurvedic treatment place the food is healthy and surprisingly tasty too. Would love to go again.

I had a Panchkarma done back in Oct 2021. My consultation with Dr. Ravisha took place the very first day. I realized that Dr. Ravisha was very professional; he took the time to understand my health challenges. He answered all my questions, and after the consultation, he started my treatment on day one. I completed my panchakarma (Vamana + Virechana ). The various treatments were done with care and were extremely helpful for both body and mind, and over the months, it has shown many positive changes in my body. If this helps, then I want to share one important thing. Thyroid TSH normal values are 0.5 to 5.0 mIU/L. Before the treatment, my TSH level for Thyroid was 14.0. My local physician had told me that values more than 10.0 need long-term supplements/treatment, and there are no guarantees for a cure. After the treatment, I requested my local physician to run another test; guess what? The results were amazing; the TSH value had dropped to 6.0 mIU/L. I was excited; I told my physician that I had done the panchakarma treatment just a few weeks before the test, and the number of days I invested at Shathayu Ayurveda center was worth it. The services, as well as the staff, were good. There is such a pleasant natural environment. I like the interior rooms. Every dish they served was very delicious and healthy. The doctors treat you well here. Moreover, I felt like a member of the Shathayu family. My visiting at Shathayu Ayurveda experience was the best part of my trip. I strongly recommend this place. Stay here, and you will enjoy the natural beauty. Thank you, Dr Ravisha and the Shathayu team. Awesome!

I stayed for 11 nights at Shathayu and took Virechana treatment for detox and weight loss. The good: The staff are very humane and helpful. Dr. Gafoor and Dr. Aparna were patient and took the time to explain the rationale behind the various therapies and general procedures. Having taken Ayurveda therapies from Kerala, I can vouch that the therapists knew what they were doing. Mr. Reji and Jayalakshmi, the yoga and meditation teachers, were also excellent. The bad and it's mostly that. Shathayu is probably the worst managed, pricey place I have stayed at. At over 11K a night, it isn't cheap. Here's what went against expectations: 1 - the walls in my room (the most expensive they had) were in a state of crumble. My stay was peppered with the constant sound of concrete pieces hitting the floor. Of course I wasn't informed of this, and had to discover it. 2 - the treatment beds (the foam ones) were torn, which means when you get back up from a dry therapy, your body would be glistening with oil that was used perhaps ages ago, and of course on another human body. If this isn't unhygienic, I don't know what is. 3 - during the entire 12 days, i never once got to interact with anyone on the management team. They never once acknowledged the above feedback, and that goes to tell you how much they care. 4 - i was told the treatment i took would need 14 days, but during the course of the stay I realized it's only 10 days really and the last 4 days is just to relax. Of course, in a dilapidated room, and on massage beds that oozed oils from the mesozoic era. 5 - Generally, not a single person I chatted with during my stay there seemed happy being employed there. Bad vibes. 6 - The place is about 9 kms away from the closest shop, so carry your own toiletries. Their shampoo and soap are just plain atrocious. When I gave that feedback, I was told by the hapless supervisor that it's so because they are 'ayurvedic'. I call BS. I've used shampoo made of hibiscus at home, and it's heaven. 7 - Look at the dust on the wardrobe doors Overall, while the treatment was generally good, the people warm and the therapies relaxing, I left disappointed at the level of unprofessionalism, lack of management oversight, and the experience of an infrastructure that screams for maintenance. All this for 11k+ per night? Go for the therapies; avoid residing at the facility.

Serene location, situated in the outskirts of Bangalore. Perfect place to rejuvenate, relax and recharge amidst nature. Apart from the Ayurveda therapies, one can enjoy multiple activities like yoga, meditation, and excursions to the nearby lake and rocky mountains. The therapists are well trained and experienced. The entire staff from the kitchen to housekeeping is super accomodating and friendly. Food prepared by the Chef sumptuous and soulful. He also had tonnes of stories to tell. Highly recommended for both long term therapies as well as weekend relaxation. Kid and elderly friendly.

Due to stressful work, I had gained over 6 kgs in less than a year and was suffering from lower back pain. I found Shathayu through a google search and decided to take a 2-week sabbatical and enrol in the pancha karma treatment as suggested by Doctor Ravisha. I can now confidently state that you will not find a more successful treatment (for weight loss, detoxification, and so on) anywhere else. These folks are the greatest in the business at what they do, and they do it exceptionally well. They get your desired results using a variety of treatments, massages, diets, and yoga. I lost 5 kg in just 14 days and felt better than I have in a long time. I not only reduced 5 kg but I also developed a new outlook on life. I stopped stressing about things I couldn't change. It's a wonderful location to heal, relax, and become more aware of one's own health and well-being. The weather was so pleasant, it's away from the hustle bustle of the city. There are other variety of activities offered here such as live cooking, hiking, nature walk, temple visit, boating, doctor talk, customised yoga and meditation which keeps us quite occupied. Treatments are one-of-a-kind and meticulously planned. The atmosphere is quite relaxing, and the people are very friendly. Everyone is incredibly professional, from the physicians to the masseurs to the restaurant staff. The place is maintained so well. Kudos to the entire management and the team for maintaining the hygiene standards. Sincere gratitude to the General Manager Mr. Arun for his dedication, commitment and hospitality. He was just a call away and made arrangements for whatever I asked right from day 1 of my treatment. Doctor Aparna was very much approachable and took care of me. The compassion with which you treat the patients is more effective than any medicine! Thank you, doctor. Thank you so much for all your hard work and support during this difficult time. Your humility, kindness, and hard work are greatly appreciated. Thank you Dr Ravisha for encouraging me when I was down. He always made me believed that I can recover from this illness and I did. Thanks to Chef Sanjay. Everything cooked by him was luscious and moreish. I am immensely thankful for his enthusiasm for the presentation of food and the way he took care of me. I was grateful that Prithivi and Sahesh were my therapists. I thank them for the wonderful care and treatment during my therapy sessions. The stretching and massage maneuvers they did worked wonders to gradually restore my physical well being. Once again, thank you for being such a kindhearted care provider and for making my treatment as bearable as possible. You guys were the best! Kaliya and Anuj. Thank you for the food service. I appreciate the discipline and punctuality you guys had. Thanks to the Yoga instructor Reji Mohan and Jayashree. Reji Mohan is a wonderful teacher with compassion and clarity. Thanks for the coaching support pertaining to my back pain. And Jayashree was of a great help when I needed anything around with always a smile on her face. I also thank, Sheikh, Manjula and Suhas for their wonderful hospitality. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience, topped off by Christmas and New Year's Eve parties complete with bonfire music and food. I'll definitely be visiting this place once every year.
