I would say Dr shelar is knowledgeable but the staff in ICU is so pathetic and rude and inexperienced. Only the Money matters over patient there. They do not allow medicine from out side medical pharmacy which are very costly. Unnecessary tests were done and charged you daily. After this bad experience we moved our father to another hospital where his health was drastically improved without ventilator. So it's upto you to play with your loved one's life in Shelar hospital.

Everyone has their own personal experience to share. This is ours. That afternoon, April 7, 2021 everyone in our family was making calls frantically to get an ICU bed for dad, who was then admitted in the Vashi CIDCO facility with 10 litres oxygen and a delayed admission after 13/25 HRCT score, with unmanaged diabetes. No ICUs were available anywhere in the city of Mumbai. That's when we miraculously found a spot in your hospital from Google. The toughest part was to convince my dad, and we were glad that he got convinced to get admitted to Shelar after reading couple of great reviews on your site. Thanks to people who submitted those honest reviews, especially about Dr. Vinay Shelar. Each and every day at your hospital was giving us a ray of hope and positivity. Dad was slowly getting better under your loving care. You were also so generous to allow him to stay for additional 2 days (after the 16-18 days stay) until dad himself felt comfortable and confident leaving the hospital. It just shows your humility and huge compassion towards patients during this pandemic. We strongly believe it was our luck that the universe brought us to your door steps, where dad was getting both the critical ICU care and at the same time being able to see his family members, due to the structure of your hospital. Initially we were surprised that the hospital lacked many facilities of a typical ICU hospital, but then felt calm just by knowing that the doctor is an angel, and that we were allowed to meet dad often, which was another huge key to his successful recovery!!! Thank you so much dear angel doctor, Shelar ? We love you incredibly Dr. Shelar. You are one of the best in the universe when it comes to compassionate pandemic care! Pros: The best compassionate and smartest doctor you can get during this pandemic. Cons: Some hygiene and cleanliness issues. But since the patient is always on antibiotics, our worry was less It's a very small but popular hospital in Panvel Food not available, not provided to patients. We had to arrange food for dad and us through a generous lady named Bhavini who stayed nearby. P. S: My dad who is back home already, do not have words to express his gratitude toward Dr. Shelar and his hardworking staff? We wanted to admit dad to one of the best hospitals, which we could not due to lack of ICU beds. But our experience at Shelar Hospital proved that it is more important to get the blessings of a compassionate doctor, even if in a small hospital, than getting admission to a top hospital. Also it was extremely important to ensure dad was comfortable going to the hospital without forcing him.
