This is one of large temples in Gurugram, with large number of devotees visiting this temple every day. But maintenance and facilities are poor. No proper parking facility and hawkers charge rs 100 or even more to let your car parked in front of their unauthorised stalls. Inside the temple main shrine is some what ok , in other place maintenance is poor

Shri Sheetala Mata Mandir (Masani Temple)also referred as ‘Shakti Peeth’ is a well known temple located one and a half kilometers in the suburbs of Gurgoan near a beautiful pond. The presiding deity of the temple is Shri Mata Sheetla Devi also known by the names Bhagat Lalita Ma and Masani Ma is the incarnation of Goddess Durga. The word Sheetala refers to the disease smallpox and it is believed that the person’s suffering from this disease will be surely recovered by praying to Sheetla Devi . The statue of the deity, weighing 4kg is made up of mixed metal with gold polish and is kept in a wooden casket which is in turn placed on a small marble platform in the temple.

The visit to Sheetla Mata Mandir indeed touches you and you feel migrated to another world. The ringing of temple bells and chanting of shalokas in the early morning hours makes you feel good. This is an old temple which was finally taken over by Haryana Government and was put under district administration. The temple is now under direct control of an HCS officer who is stationed inside the temple premises itself. The temple has undergone metamorphosis and it is pleasure spending some time inside the precincts of the temple. Visits to all the religious places are always soothing for the mind. Whenever we see a living creature, we are in effect seeing the Universal Reality. Whether it be a honeybee or a lamb, or man, He is within each of us. Even Space and Time are within Him. Krishna says: ‘The Lord dwells in the hearts of all beings, O Arjuna, causing all beings, by His illusive power, to revolve as if mounted on a machine’. Here, the word ‘heart’ is more figurative and metaphysical. God lends His power to all the living creatures; He energises everyone. He is the unseen puppeteer, without whom living beings have no existence, vitality or emotion; we are mere expressions of the will and intention of the unseen Hand. Though He is present everywhere, the Lord is most conspicuously self-evident in the heart of the devotee during meditation. He is the light of consciousness, helping us ‘see’. He knows even what is in our subconscious minds, to which even our conscious active minds have no access (except only occasionally during our dreams). This silent light of consciousness observes all the three states - of waking, dream and deep sleep. This is the temple where Guru Drona (after whose name the city Gurugram was christened) did his meditation. All the civic amenities are available in the temple for the visitors. The temple is disabled friendly and there are number of wheel chairs available on the entry gate. A Sanskrit College is also operating from the temple. blessings of GOD for young kids and newly married couples , very nice place to visit with family and relatives.

Good Temple and it was little busy today. Parking here is little challenging due to moving traffic on road. Govt should look into it and provide facility of drinking water as the option available for drinking water wasn't hygienic. Pujari are good and they don't force you to put money as it generally happens in some temples

I am a very regular visitor of this temple as I live very nearby colony. The place is being rebuilt infact being renovated. It's q landmark temple in the area Vishnu Garden . In fact the road is known as Sheetla Mata Mandir Road or Khayala Road. Its a towering temple Having many floors. But lacks in Management. The road which use to be quite busy have very less space for parking. The management should look into the inconvenience of parking of devotees . being very popular in area it can be used for different purposes like Matchmaking and all the religious works
