★ ★ ★ ★ ★ उज्जैन में महाकालेश्वर मंदिर भवन के तीसरे तल पर स्थित है अतिविशिष्ट नागचंद्रेश्वर मंदिर। इस मंदिर के पट को पूरे वर्ष में केवल नाग पंचमी के दिन खोला जाता है।
मंदिर में 11वीं शताब्दी की एक अद्भुत प्रतिमा है, इसमें फन फैलाए नाग के आसन पर शिव-पार्वती विराजमान हैं।
पूरे विश्व में यह एकमात्र ऐसा मंदिर है, जिसमें विष्णु भगवान की जगह भगवान भोलेनाथ सर्प शय्या पर आसीन हैं।
इस मंदिर को नागराज तक्षक का निवास स्थान माना जाता है। इस मंदिर का निर्माण परमार राजा भोज ने वर्ष 1050 में करवाया था।
The very special Nagchandreshwar Temple is situated on the third floor of the Mahakaleshwar temple building in Ujjain. The doors of this temple are opened throughout the year only on the day of Nag Panchami.
The temple has a wonderful statue of 11th century, in which Shiva-Parvati are seated on the seat of a snake spreading its hood.
This is the only temple in the whole world, in which Lord Bholenath is seated on a snake bed instead of Lord Vishnu.
This temple is considered to be the abode of Nagraj Takshak. This temple was built by Parmar Raja Bhoj in the year 1050.
