He heard from the respectable elderly Vrajavāsīs about Nanda Bābā’s cowshed nearby. They informed him that the ghāṭa where he was sitting was well known by the name of Govinda-ghāṭa. Śrī Vallabhācārya became so delighted that he performed a Bhāgavata-saptāha (recitation of the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam for seven days) under the śamī tree here."

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Govind ghat is in Gokul where Lord Krishna was grown-up. The temple is too inside the lanes and it's good. We hired a guide who shared info and took to the temple. The cost of the guide is 100rs but they ask for more ( please negotiate as a tourist)...secondly more emphasis on donation as it's holy places...kindly note it is not compulsory to donate it is up to ones wish. attached is the pic of all those devotees who have contributed.. the bigger the amount the names will be engrossed on tiles and put it in temple, flooring, all over...my overall experience is ok as a devotee of Lord Krishna I was happy to visit ,see , feel the place

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ People are ready to thug you on the name of religion.. so be aware.. and the place is calm and i visited in winter the water chemically polluted so it was so disturbing... And the temple near the ghaat are historic and nice .. i love the nature and people ... Photographer who love street photography . Must visit this place
