The main deities of this temple are Shri Shri Radha Gokulananda, the worshipable deities of Shrila Vishvanath Chakravarthy Thakur. In this temple, the deities of Shri Shri Radha Vinoda of Shrila Lokanath Goswami and Shri Shri Radha Vijay Govinda of Shrila Baladeva Vidyabhushan are also giving darshan. Just below Radha Vinoda is the beautiful deity of Radha Gokulananda. To the right of Radha Gokulananda, the deities of Radha Vijay Govinda are giving darshan. As with the other deities of the Goswamis, the original deities of Radha Vinoda and Radha Gokulananda are situated in Jaipur. The Pratibhu Vigrahas of the original deities are being worshipped here in Vrindavan.

Radha Gokulananda Temple is an ancient shrine, located at Vrindavan, in Uttar Pradesh. It is in between the Kesi Ghat and the Radha-Raman Temple. In this temple there is the small Radha-Vinoda Deities of Lokanatha Gosvami, the larger Deities of Vijaya Govinda of Baladeva Vidyabhusana, and the Radha Gokulananda Deities of Viswanath Cakravarti. The small Deity of Krishna in front of Gokulananda and the Deity of Caitanya Mahaprabhu were worshiped by Narottama Dasa Thakur. Viswanath Cakravarti arranged to have this temple built. Formerly, all the Deities in this temple were worshiped alone, in their own temples. Originally, Viswanath Cakravarti worshiped the Deity of Gokulananda at Radha Kunda. He then moved to Vrindavana and stayed with Lokanatha Gosvami. Where this temple is located is where Lokanatha Gosvami would do his bhajana. When the original temple of Radha-Vinoda fell apart, Viswanath Cakravarti had another temple built and called it the Gokulananda Temple. Both his Deity of Gokulananda and Radha-Vinoda were worshiped here.

"Before the arrival of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu in Vrindavan, Sri Lokanatha Goswami and Sri Bhugarbha Goswami came here. Being very humble and without any possessions (akincana), they performed bhajana at the many pastime places in Vraja-mandala. Sri Lokanatha Goswami found the deity of Sri Radha-Vinoda in Kisori-kunda in Umrao-gaon near Chatravana and served Them there. Later, on the request of Rupa, Sanatana and the other Gosvamis, he brought his worshipful Sri Radha-Vinoda to Vrindavan and began to worship Them near the temple of Sri Radha-Ramana. Nowadays, the original deity that was worshipped by Sri Lokanatha Goswami is in Jaipura, and the pratibhu-vigraha is worshipped in that same temple in Vrindavan. Sri Gokulananda, who appeared at Sri Radha-kunda through Sri Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakur, also arrived in this temple later on. The govardhana-sila given by Sriman Mahaprabhu to Sri Raghunatha dasa Goswami used to be present here. The original deity of Sri Gokulananda is now also situated in Jaipura with Sri Radha-Vinoda. In the courtyard of the temple are the samadhis of Sri Lokanatha Goswami, Sri Narottama Thakur and Sri Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakur." Excerpt from the book 'Sri Vraja-mandal Parikrama' by Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja
