Temple has Large open space for religious gathering.. Very beautiful, calm, cool and peaceful place, great aura of the place! You can have a view of the Someshwar waterfalls during monsoon else you'll just see water flowing, there's nothing like a water fall in off season.

Shri Vyankatesh Balaji Mandir is situated in the very place where Late Shankaracharya Dr. Kurtakoti spent his last years in meditation on the banks of the holy river Godavari. The place, formerly known as Shri Shankaracharya Mutt, is located at a picturesque location near Someshwar Waterfall on the outskirts of Nashik and is very peaceful & inspiring. The concept to build the temple originated from installing the holy idols of Shri Vyankatesh, Shri Amba & Shri Padmavati used by Dr. Kurtakoti in his daily pooja-routines at a suitable location. After consulting several experts and eminent persons in the society Shri Shankaracharya Mutt was chosen as the location for the new temple and the auspicious ground-breaking ceremony was performed on 02-May-2003. The design for the temple was drafted by the renowned architect Shri. Vijay Dikshit in consultations with the then trustees of the Nyas while Shri. Sanjay Ratnaparakhi worked on the RCC-Design for the project. The project saw completion under the supervision of Arch. Shri. Samruddha Mogal in 2006 as Shri. Dikshit passed away in the year 2004. Renowned civil contractor Shri. Krishnakumar Rao carried out the responsibility of actual construction in a selfless manner and saw the project to its logical conclusion.
