★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is near the Metro area and is in walkable distance just get to point crossing an then can walk easily or get out from Gate number 1 of the Metro can then walk about 100m to 5 point crossing and then to Depot. It is so good to see Tram still in function at this point of our lives. Where most of the world is focusing on development and removing all the Heritage for newer things it's good to see Tram. There are AC tram and non AC tram. It is cheap and can be boarded easily and being so near to Metro can be visited easily.

You will get tram of different location like Rajabazar, Gariahat, Esplanade, BBD bag, it's a heritage way of transportation in kolkata now run under west bengal transport service earlier tram where under separate authority ctc

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love the Calcutta trams..... especially the new single carriage air-conditioned version. Just wish the trams ran per a fixed schedule. Was disappointed this time to arrive at the Tram Terminus only to find that they were not operational that day. Such a shame.
Suggestion: As it is a Govt. owned transportation, which is operating at a loss, perhaps well advertised schedules on all routes and... the introduction of new routes (Salt Lake area would be ideal) could give this eco-friendly mode of transport a shot in the arm.
