★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went there with family, great place to be, far from maddening crowd, drunkards that we see at other rainy season tourist places. A dam built on a reservoir makes a good place to visit. The landscape behind is great and so is the drive to it. Just follow Google maps and you will reach there. Swim to your hearts content. Don't visit during heavy rains, as it may be closed, visit in 1st or 2nd week of September or just after first few rains. Also if you want to spend the day, carry your food and water. You can get lunch at local house just before the village ends, where they make food and give, but you have to order before going to dam, so you get food while you come back. All the places downstream from the dam are safe to get into and have fun with friends and family. People going for alcohol beware as we saw children and elders from the village patrol but without disturbing us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Water gets collected from reservoir overflow during rainy season in concrete boundaries. It's good for swimming with 3-4 feets of water. Thereafter, a group of stairs lead the water downstream creating a beautiful & picturesque waterfall. A recommended visit during heavy monsoons.
Bonus. You can drive your vehicle till the dam.

One can try for setting up tent here after trekking to Kothligad.
In monsoon, this is a top notch place with huge Bhimashankar mountain standing in background.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I followed the google map directions for Solanpada dam. Close to reaching the spot, the road became "kacha". I also saw many board signs which said private road. Ended up in a place that looked more like a reservoir rather than a dam. So not sure I reached the right spot or not.
But the place was beautiful and isolated. It would be much more spectacular in the rainy reason, I am sure. WindMills at a distance was an interesting view.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good for breakfast ride. The way to the dam is from private property but also there is one another way from which you can go to dam. Some offriding experience on the way.

This is a multi level falling dam with mountains on backside having waterfalls which makes it scenic in rainy days. Solanpada dam is a solitude and lonely location not for couples and less preferred for family for outings near to Kasheli village location at Jambrung Karjat area near Mumbai..”???????
