On shivratri a grand fair is held at the temple where devotees of lord shiva gather in huge crowds to worship and seek his blessing the venerable someshwar temple was built by the founder of chand dynasty. Raja som chand. Interestingly the name of the temple comprises of the combination of the names raja ram chand and maheshwar.
