Chokkanathaswamy temple, at domlur in the Indian city of Bangalore is dedicated to the deity known as Chokkanathaswamy or Chokka Perumal - Lord venkatarama, Lord Venkateshwara (the Hindu god Vishnu). It is one of the oldest temples in the city, dating to the Chola period of the 10th century AD. One can feel the presence of divine peace, the moment we enter into the temple. The temple environment is calm and one can do Dhyana. The temple is also famous for Lord granting wishes to His devotees. There is Lord Krishna small idol which is very famous among people to grant wishes.. We also have Lord Ganesha, Lord Hanuman in the praharam Daily: Morning: 6:00 am - 11:00 am, Evening: 5:45 pm - 8:30 pm Wednesday: Morning: 6:00 am - 11:30 am, Evening: 5:45 pm - 8:30 pm Saturday: Morning: 6:00 am - 12:30 pm, Evening: 5:45 pm - 9:00 pm There are special poojas offered to the Lord on festival function.

One of the oldest temple, reconstructed from Cholas era. The temple is pretty much a new set up. Super clean and very well maintained. Perumal'd divine name is Chokkanathar, he resides in the sanctum along with Nilamakal ( Boodevi), Dhanamakal (Sridevi). This is a typical resconstruction of Cholas Maadakovil. The temple corridor has lot of Tamil inscription. On the entrance you have Pillaiyar and Anjaneyar residing in the separate sanctum. Finding car parking could be an issue as the streets are narrow.

amazing temple built by Chola kings. I have not seen that many vaishnava temples by Chola kings. I am not sure whether it was changed in later periods. small lane, no parkings zone. Every saturday morning free annaprasadam is give at 10 AM with devotion. Must visit temple in Domalur areas. Also visit, Kodanda Ramar temple in the same street.

This is also one of the beautiful temple of ancient time. Sculptures are well maintained. Had a good darshan of Lord. Only problem is parking of vehicles as whole area is surrounded by residential flats and too crowded leaving very little place for movement. Very clean and neat temple.

Sree Chokkanatha Swamy temple(Sree vishnu, Venkatesawara) is easily accessible. It is on the way of HAL old airport road towards Marathahalli. Just 50metres from the main road and 100 meters from the Bustop. Located in Domulur. A very nice place to visit in the morning as the temple is facing towards East, the run rays fall in the temple. Lord Vigneswara and Lord Hanuman idols also seen at both sides of the temple. I feel pleasant after visiting to this temple.
