We purchased tiles worth more than 80k INR (attached is a picture of one such receipts). Of these were a set of bathroom tiles (image).
For the tiles, there was a design which had E1, E2 and E3 tiles for elevation (basically bathroom walls). When showing in the showroom they showed them tiled neatly. During purchase we asked him if he had all the tiles in required in quantities for our work and he said yes.
We paid all the money (a big mistake) and asked them to send the tiles the next day, which they did. Later when the workers opened the tiles, they noticed that instead of E1, E2 and E3 tiles, he gave E1, E2, E2 tiles.
When called and asked he said that he was AWARE that some tiles were missing and gave two of E2 thinking we will manage with them (such a great idea). When asked him to replace them, he told that these models are NO LONGER AVAILABLE and that he will try to find a replacement with in two days and asked us to continue the work using these tiles.
After two days, the workers used the existing ones and managed to cover three walls but the fourth wall still doesnt have the required tiles (see image).
Now the person says that these tiles are no longer available and that we should make do using the tiles we were given.
After all the money we paid and the effort it took, we still dont have the tiles we wanted and needed.
Avoid the shop. The person who sold us these things is K. Shanmukha Srinivas. As an abundance of caution, do not purchase anything from this person. Seems they do have couple of branches around, make sure they do a good job before buying anything from them.
Also, a pro tip, when making these kind of purchases, always pay 70% or 80% of the total money and hold on to the rest. Pay the rest only after successful completion of the work.
Hope others wont have to go through the pain we had to go through. Its a tough lesson for us.
