★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This shop sells flowers and archanai (aarati) items for worship at the Sri Ahobila Mutt temple, as well as miscellaneous pooja items for the home. However, the flowers are generally priced 25%-50% higher than what you'd get at a good place like Padma Stores near Chembur Station. Unfortunately, there's no other flower seller near the temple, so the owner enjoys a monopoly at the temple and the perks that go with it, such as levying arbitrary prices (Rs 100 for a lotus flower on Lakshmi Pooja during Diwali) and rude behaviour. If at all possible, plan your temple visit in advance and buy your flowers from another place.
