★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sri Paramhansa Nath Temple is a very prominent Mahadev temple on the bank of Kathajodi River which is just 10-12 km from Cuttack city. You can hire taxi @ OMP Square to reach the place. The special attraction of the place is ducks and their ducklings. It's mostly recommended to those who wants to spend a peaceful quality time in rural areas near to Cuttack city.

4kms away from the Cuttack - Paradeep Road . Approach from OMP square , towards Nuabazar and keep going until you see a sign board of the temple to take a right . This is situated right on banks of River Kathajodi.
Another hidden Gem of Kataka (Cuttack) , and it is still standing upright 80ft for 1000 years . This is a five chambered rekha and pidha shrine . The Vimana is of Pancharatha rekha style.
The doorjambs of the vimana and the bhogomandapa portray sculptures of the navagraha and dvarapalas. The Plinth of the temple exhibits sculptures portraying war scenes , elephants and horses in procession , decorated swans.
In the sanctum is a Patal-Phuta Shiva Linga . There is a beautiful wooden canopy and possibly added sometime in the mid - 15th or 16th century . Other deities around the temple are Parvati, Kartikeya and Ganesh . A big bull figure and a Ramaabhisekha images are found on the northern wall of the temple. Two Vishnu images are found on the outer walls of the temple .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This Shiva temple was built during Cholas dynasty in the bank of the river Kathajodi. It is the best place in Cuttack city to enjoy Mahashivaratri. A small but beautiful fair is organised in temple compound on occasion of Mahashivaratri with touch of rural India impression. A small but very old pond with sand tone boundary can be seen inside the temple premises. A large number of devotees come from 42 Mouza villages by crossing river bed of river Kathajodi . A temporary road is made on the river bed by district administration to facilitate the communication. Really a great place indeed….
