★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a place where friends, family, relatives, neighbours, and all get together to celebrate various festivals of Lord Sri Krishna and Sri Radharani. The glory of these festivals lies in the union of everyone regardless of rich and poor, educated and uneducated, and people of different backgrounds. Many renowned local Artists, singers and musicians from West Bengal perform religious songs of kirtans, bhajans, bhakti-geeti on these occasions. After the song-dance performances, harir lut takes place where sweet Batasha is thrown in the air by purohit for devotees to catch them. Sometimes daughters and housewives of Mitra family sing together. After puja, devotees are served with bhog which consists of main dishes like Khichdi, fried cornflower Kumro & Brinjal pakoda, Mixed veg, Dhokar dalna, Luchi, paneer gravy, papad and desserts like malpua, bonde, payesh, sandesh & ofcourse paan as tail-enders. The garden is full of flowers and greenery which is perfect for a picnic spot away from dust and pollution of the busy city. You can find trees bearing fruits like mango, jackfruit, guava, pear, coconut among others. Fishes and swans swim in the ponds.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited a few years back, lovely place to be in. Wish I could have a glimpse of the Goddess there more frequently. Got invitation this year also, but missed the opportunity for some preoccupation. The owners are very cordial and provide all arrangements to make you feel at home. The garden needs some more attention.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a very nice tourist place with beautiful garden. You won't be able to believe until you see with your own eyes. Clear lake with swans flying around is great attraction centre for nature lovers. Best time of the year to visit is winter season from Nov to Feb, when colorful flowers bloom.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Almost 200 year old and located in the busy Dunlop area; this temple(thakurbari) is a very well maintained serene and peaceful place. You do not have to be religious to appreciate the beauty of this place. The gardens with bright and beautiful blooming flowers, the ponds, the woods with trees and birds and the temple itself standing in between all of this with all it's glory is a sight for sore and tired city eyes.
The temple hosts four major festivals throughout the year when rich and poor, young and old get together to celebrate together. There are many stories about the temple as would be expected from an establishment which is almost 200 years old. The famous writer and social activist Pearychand Mittra was instrumental in making the temple as we see today. It is till this date maintained by his family members.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is serene. The temple is at the center of lovely gardens with exotic flowers. There is a small stream through the gardens where you will find ducks and birds. In all, it is a place for relaxing right in the heart of Kolkata. The ancestral idol of Radha Krishna sits on a throne in the temple.
