★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Here u will get to see 140+ year old jackfruit tree under which Srila Prabhupada took birth on 1st September 1896... For quite long it wasn't under ISKCON. But now ISKCON Kolkata has secured this place and offered it as a birthday gift to Srila Prabhupada on his 125th appearance day.
It was Srila Prabhupada's last desire to secure this place and make memorial here. Infact, in one of his last letters to Sankarshan das adhikary prabhu in May 1977, one of the few Bengali disciples of Srila Prabhupada, he expressed this desire.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the the place where Srila Prabhupada took birth under a jackfruit tree so the place is named "KathalTala" . This is now under Iskcon. A new temple is being made here! This will be Kolkata's most important and biggest Iskcon Temple within few years hopefully! Pilgrims will come various countries and various states of our country as well because this won't be just a Iskcon Temple, it's the place where the Founder of Iskcon took birth so it is a special place and carries a lot more importance!

One must go there and chant Hare Krishna Maha mantra to get extra mercy of God.
This is a place in a busy colony of Kolkata near Charu Market..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited there a few days back, the place is still under construction, so attaching the photos, will visit there again after it get completed.
ONE MORE THING: The Radha Krishna temple (Boro Rash Bari) nearby this place which is around 200 years old getting destroyed for non maintenance, the local people there play gambling there inside the Mandir (can you imagine this!! this is happening with these historical places)
