Rev. Dr. Swami Parthasarathy is world famous writer, Eminent Professor, Author, Orator, Educationist, Spiritual Philosopher and Philanthropist. He is currently the Member of Joint Commission of BRICS Countries and also as the Special Envoy De Premiere. He is also the Chairman Asia – Pacific Development Initiative, A Joint Economic Forum of 25 Asia – Pacific Countries. Hon’ble Prime Minister of India has nominated him as Permanent Representing Member of India to United Nations’ Economic & Social Council. Rev. Dr. Parthasarathy is an MBA and Ph.D. from University of Chicago, Booth School of Business. His Ph.D was under the guidance of Sir John D. Fox, the Nobel Laureate in Economics. He has also done his D.Litt. He has also been conferred with seven Honorary D. Litt. from different Universities in India and abroad. He is internationally noted author of 28 books and 129 research papers. His books, “Human Values in Management”, “Bhagavad Gita for Leadership Excellence” and the famous title “Corporate Governance” are of Global repute and are text in 300 Universities across the globe including 79 Universities of US. & UK. – including Harvard, Wharton and Kellogg.

• He talked about existing issues that the world is going through an unprecedent state and the entire humanity is under threat, which is the result of exploitation of nature by the cancerous human species. As per the universal order of righteousness, the nature will take its self-correction method, as a result of which the nature is coming in its shape, world is becoming cleaner, but humans are under a peril. He opined that it would take another 2 years for the world to come back to its normal form. To handle the massive changes the corporate world holds responsibility under the corporate governance framework.
• He emphasised that corporate governance is not only a subject, but it is a movement.in order to handle crisis that are inevitable, it is essential to apply human values in right order.
• The eastern science principles must be adapted in the corporate affairs where in the corporates should lead in harmony with nature and not dominate the nature unlike the Western Science principles. This is possible through building strong empathy towards everyone and living with compassion rather than the feeling of dominance.
• He further elaborated that the corporate governance system should be as good as the public governance system which can be possible by establishing stakeholder democracy in the system and focus on the 4 Ps of Corporate governance i.e. people, process, purpose and performance. This ideology will reduce the risk of collapsing in the near future.
• He further suggested that Indian corporates must learn from the corporate governance failures like Satyam Ltd and Enron where the leaders took advantage of the loopholes of the compliance system and must not engage in similar blunders.
• His idea was to emphasise upon the righteous approach which can prevail in the corporate system through Dharma. He further concluded by saying that a strong corporate governance framework stands on the pillars of Transparency, fairness and Accountability.
