★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Filled with devotees... Unlike congregations of other parishes.. SMTC parishner's actually participate in the Holy Eucharist, with singing and responding the all the prayers in one voice! Gives me an feeling of serenity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a newly built Church for the Catholic Faithful in Virar west area. There is another RC church for Virar east faithful. The Church is located a little distant from the railway station noise and so is a preferred place for devotion and meditation. The Priests reside there so there is someone always available for you at all times. Morning mass at 7.30am and evening at 7pm (Mon to Sat). Sunday evening mass at 5pm. Not so sure about morning mass timings on Sunday. There is sufficient seating space for a crowd of approx 400 pax I guess. Accoustics and Church architect is pretty practical and yet very elegant. It is one of the few Churches dedicated to St Mother Teresa in India. It has a beautiful life like statue of Mother Teresa and a well thought of Altar with the virtues of Mother Teresa. You can reach the Church by rickshaw or walk from the Virar railway station for around 15mins.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came to meet my friend in viraar, as it was friday of lent , visited church for way of cross. I was astonished and spell bounded to see real acting of calvary scenes and it felt like we r witnessing the agony in front of our eyes. It was arranged by good shepherd community and daughters of st paul sisters , truly felt blessed , then attended mass, priest is very spiritual , and church altar is amazing with lots of quotes and its church dedicated mother theresa , one of rare . Best part is its nearest to railway station , a 5 min walk from station .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sometimes, the smaller the community, the more strong and bonded and helpful is the church that this community belongs to. This is the exact feeling I had when I visited here. The people here are very helpful and don’t mind taking the time out to give their best to the church activities. They may not be wealthy is terms of money but they make it a point to contribute in every other way, no matter how small the effort. It’s these ‘little things that matter much’ that I feel should be a spirit in every church everywhere.
