★ ★ ★ ★ ★ According to rules u can deposit money at the counter anywhere in SBI branch but there i went to deposit money they rejected my request saying that I have to go for my mother branch to deposit, I say worst service of this branch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a risky place for customers, especially as a good percentage of them seem to be senior citizens: One needs to climb 8 steps to enter the bank & 7 steps to use the ATM!
The steps to the ATM are made of metal frames topped by stone slabs that badly need repair.
I met an elderly gentlemen who had just come up the steps into the bank. He said, 'So far I have manged to....Mind is wobbling'..
'There are unnecessary delays', one 86-year-old lady, a customer for the past 4 decades, told me. Years ago the bank was situated at Nandi Durg Extension. This lady's husband was even chosen as the best customer by the Branch once! The branch manager was Mr. Sampath; with wonderful staff. What we got at that time was customer CARE. That was then.
The saving grace now is the branch manager Mr Desh Pande who is very efficient.
10 July, 2019: Today's situation - Only one staff at the counter, plus the Branch Manager.They are both doing a good job, without complaining.
The person at counter # 1 retired on 31st May this year. He was the one to update the statements in our passbook. No replacement has been effected. So, our passbooks have not been updated since that gentleman left! A stand-alone kiosk in the bank where we can update our passbooks ourselves would eliminate the need for such a staff. It would also work out to be cheaper, I believe!
September 2019: Good news! Two new staff have joined the branch. One of them is Ms Saraswathi, a smart, VERY efficient lady who goes about her work briskly, without a fuss, and without any fanfare.
I must say once again that the Branch Manager Mr Desh Pande does a great job, & that he understands situations, & is most helpful.
The steps to the ATM have been repaired.
I believe it would be a lot cheaper to have a statement printing kiosk inside the bank which would do the printing when the passbook is inserted into the slot, as found in some IOB branches.
Update 7 July, 2021: The statements printing for passbooks has been installed and working well! Congrats SBI Benson Town.?
