★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Since we were shopping for a wedding at home, we thankfully checked out a lot of places before this one. Straavi had a very average collection which was unnecessarily overpriced. Probably would have never understood that unless I hadn't visited about ten stores before that. The same benarasi they sell for 60k is for 20k at places like Adi dhakeshwari with a much superior silk quality. Please don't let their condescending salesperson fool you into thinking otherwise. According to this particular middle aged, balding sales person with a mustache (don't know his name, didn't bother to know) bengalis shouldn't visit "elitist" stores like theirs. I hope you know, class-ist and casteist comments like this aren't entertained in Bengal. Just because we are broad minded, doesn't mean you can test our patience to extremes. And if you think you're high street fashion just cuz you have a Masaba and Anita Dongre store opposite to yours, please don't consider yourself to be one of them? I mean, have a basic level of introspection I guess. And basic quality of sarees if you will.
