★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Common lore is that no one works in govt. offices in India. However, I observed a very different scenario in this office when I visited from USA the day before yesterday
Over the 1 hour I observed Kum Kum at counter 5 she worked like a machine. She accepted the applications, sorted them, took pictures and returned them on a first-come-first basis. And she did this with a smile on her face, even when an application was put together incorrectly.
She really deserves to be recognized. If there were some more workers like her getting office work done in India would be easier and faster than in the US (or in the world for that matter).
Kudos to Kum Kum!
