Answer : the high price is for the astheics!
Tip : Admire the beauty of the cakes and other items in this shop. Buy it and you regret it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really really bad food. Tried their mutton patty, chicken Tikka croissant, and lemon tart. Felt oukish after that. The mutton patty had a huge lump of Indian spices in the patty. I can understand cloves, or black pepper but giant cinnamon stick with some other spice. Come on!
The n the lemon tart. Flavourless no lemon taste
They don't have shakes. Pre made bottled drinks.
Best Avoid!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got a Black Forest cake from here, it had gone bad to the point where it was rancid. Upon checking with the store, they first refused to tell us how old it was, and when pressed, they told us it was two days old and within its shelf life.
At this point, we returned more than 90% of this rancid cake, for which they refused a refund, and told us we could pick from their other cakes. Ultimately, we didn’t want to experiment with any of them and the manager begrudgingly processed a refund.
After this experience, I have lost all faith in the brand, and would recommend anybody looking for baked goods in this area to go check out Sibang bakery on the 2nd floor of the same mall. It’s not that all their goods are perfect in quality, but when any shortfall is mentioned, they are extremely forthcoming in correcting it. Moreover, the quality of their cakes is far superior in terms of flavour and ingredients used too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got coffee eclair and triple chocolate mousse from the outlet today and had one of the worst experience. Never expected this sort of quality from Sugar and Spice. Both the things were stale, the cream in eclair was sour and the texture of mousse was not at all soft, infact it was jelly. Terrible experience.

Entrance - 4/5 ( you can enter from Le marche or malls entry )
Store visibility - 4/5 ( highly visible if u are shopping at le marche )
Interior - 4/5 ( shop is classic! Clean bakery! Loved the interior and probably giving it extra one for its interior )
Staff - 1/5 ( the main staff was rude and arrogant to other customers! In service industry you need to be polite in every manner )
Variety - 3/5 ( they got huge variety but sadly they have mastered none )
Quality - 3/5
Quantity - 4/5
Value for money - 3/5 ( as I said nothing on their menu is exciting or authentic )
- just basic boring premium bakery! Earlier when there was no competitor sugar and spice was one of the best bakeries but now they have lost between all the competition and just trying to build their own grocery stores, I guess
- packaging is still good and branding is good enough
