The tomb its self tells the history. Although the place is under ASI but not protected as other monuments. The place is more a peer baba than the architectural monument. It should be protected. The nearby bus stop is Vasant Enclave C-8, then link road via Sultan Ghari Archaeological Park.

Great place very ancient point of reference when dotting the historical map of delhi, hidden from the mainstream archeological circuit. Now it has been converted into a mazar but the garbhgriha resembles the seat of Bhavani, chief diety of Rajputs. Visit on Monday and Wednesday observe the architecture and if you go in a group, explore the surrounding monuments too.

A good and quite place to visit. This monument is a hidden gem. Located not far from the busy Chhatarpur - Mahipalpur - Airport road. The approach from the main road is little rough but manageable. There is an entry ticket costing ₹ 25.00 I would definitely recommend travellers and explorers to visit this historical site. It is worth mentioning that this monument is supposedly the first Islamic Mausoleum ever built in India or say the Indian Sub Continent.

It’s hard to believe that a place like this, a piece of history has survived unknown near the busy, bustling city of Delhi. Ruins scattered amid shrubs, thorny bushes and rocks reverberate with enchanting tales of emperors and kingdoms that existed 800 years ago. Sultanghari is the oldest mausoleum that was built in India by emperor Sham ud din Iltutmish for his eldest son Nasir ud din Mahmud. This tomb is a hard find and is virtually unknown in Vasant Kunj. There are people playing around and the tomb like most places of Delhi is forgotten and in a bad shape. There is also a dargah inside the tomb which consists of three graves.

Its a nice place, ticket required to enter in main complex, but you visit most of the sites without it. *For cyclists* You can visit this place for rough off road riding. This complex is like small village with many houses, and to way to these small huts and houses(now ruins) is pathways full of stones and bushes... !! If you want to spent some peaceful time, this place is good. Not much crowded, many parks here side by side, full of greenary. There is a lake, park and running track also, its really nice place to visit.
