SUNBIRD journey - Kolkata

Our trip to Singapore was Excellent. We really enjoy the the trip. Due to Flight delay we have some problem. Anyway thanks to Ms Baishakhi, SunBird Journey.

Experience of traveling with sunbird is worst. They do not provide the committed service. Only rush for advance payment. Misbehave while you will be in trouble. Even they will not receive the phone call.

My name is Arjun lohar, Jaipur. We are 12 heads, traveled second time with Sunbird, our first trip to South India, was good but Now the Srilanka trip was Excellent. Our package price was little more excess other than but we really enjoyed the trip and satisfied about services. Thanks to Sunbird Journey team.

We traveled Rajasthan tour 1st time with sunbird, trip was very good. we enjoy lot of places. Hotels are very good and also the car with driver. Sunbird cordination was time to time excellent. Overall we are very much satisfied by the services.

I had opted for a 5N/6D North Bengal off beat tour package (Sittong, Kalimpong, Tinchuley, Chota Mangwa & Lepcha Jagat) with this tour operator. It was my 1st tour with Sunbird Journey. It is just an average tourist service provider. Pros : Reasonable Package Cost, Good Lodging & Fooding services. Cons: (1) As per their T & Cs, they were supposed to provide us with a destination expert driver cum guide. But the driver who was allocated absolutely did not have any knowledge about the locations & sight seeing points. At every location the driver claimed that he had never been to this place before, so he is unaware of the sight seeing spots. Many a time, the driver drove through a wrong route which resulted in wastage of time for sight seeing. Moreover, the driver deliberately skipped some sight seeing spots, which were unknown to him, by misguiding us that either those location has been closed temporarily due to festival or telling us that road to that location is closed for maintenance. But when we enquired from the local people & other tourists, we came to know that driver gave completely false information & skipped those sight seeings. (2) Tour itinerary which was provided after booking the package, was changed through telephonic conversation between Mrs. Baisakhi Maity & driver after starting of the tour , which was not at all communicated to us. As a result of this change we were made to sit in the homestay for an entire day, without doing any sight seeings & just wasted a full day for no reason. When I contacted with Mrs. Baisakhi for the same, she straight way answered that all mentioned sight seeings will be covered but timing will be as per their choice & their itinerary is just for show off. Its not necessary that they will follow itinerary dates & timings & locations will be covered as per their convenience. This implies that they are not concerned with the client's comfort & advantages. Overall , I would like to say that Sunbird Journey is suitable only for small domestic tours but not beyond that. I have had many tours previously with other renowned tour operators from Kolkata. They used to send a tour manager with the tourists who guided us satisfactorily throughout the entire tour. Unfortunately, Sunbird Journey depends on local drivers to act as guides for the tourists & as a consequence the results are not up to the mark. My rating for this tour operator is 3 out of 5. Had a great time at Sunderbans. The hotel/cottage provided was great, along with all the fun we had with the villagers. Looking forward to more such trips :) Special thanks to Shantanu, for suggesting the Sunderbans Trip and making it a huge success.

This is our 2nd trip with sunbird,All locations and homestay are good enough, I'm cutting one point due to the pelling property, which location was too good bu the rooms are not so cleaned and not properly managed. But overall service of the sunbird travel very good. Not recommended the pelling hotel to other guests.
