Craving for a hot vada pav lead me to the much spoken about Suryawanshi eatery a few days back. I wanted a takeaway and the staff was courteous. Taste : 1. The potato Filling was bland 2. The red powder chutney was more on the red chilli and less in garlic taste Portion size 1. Vada was very big compared to what one gets normally Overall I give a rating of 3/5 for the taste Cooking area cleanliness - 2/5

An average restaurant which is trying the USP of Maharashtrian food. Limited Menu so the food could have been more authentic. Tried a variety of items, from the Vada Pav, Misal Pav upto the fish and mutton thalis. A lot of disappointments. Vada Pav, have eaten better on the streets of Bangalore, Misal Pav, first time in Bangalore but no where as good as the ones in Maharashtra. Full of oil and spice (read red chilli powder). The fish was the biggest disappointment. It tasted like they had put the fish in turmeric water and served it. No flavor or taste but turmeric. All the food was very oily, and the flavors had a hint of the Maharashtrian taste but not enough to call it an authentic Maharashtrian restaurant. Asked what was served with the poori and was told that aloo sabjee and Srikhand. So ordered a plate of poori and was surprised to see that I was charged separately for the aloo sabjee and the srikhand. The prices could be more reasonable for this kind of kiosk restaurant.

Food here is beyond words. Wonderful food! My Marathi friends have told me that this place serves traditional and authentic fare and taking their advice I have always ordered from them. For the first time i visited their premise instead of ordering and I am very pleased by how their food consistently tastes good. The only reason I’ve given 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the service. Service is very poor BUT if you only order from them you wouldn’t have to deal with their bad service. And TRUST me, their food is worth it !!

Authentic Maharashtrian (Kolhapuri) cuisine. But taste will get compromised when fully occupied.

Gave me the wrong order and as I had opted for a take away I couldn't return it. Over priced, oily food that tastes pretty average. As you can see in the pictures, they used liberal amounts of oil. Save your money and skip this place.

There's a small piece of Maharashtra sitting here at Indiranagar, Bangalore! With true authentic flavours, this tiny little 4 table restaurant serves Maharashtrians and others with some Extremely delicious food! The preparation style is slightly affected by their Kolhapuri origin, however everything here on the menu is lip-smacking & finger licking worthy! The Missal Pav & Vada pav is one of the popular must-try items on the menu. If you're in time for lunch or dinner, then please do try out the Zunka Bhakri thali... Note: unlike my other reviews, I don't think it's fair to rate this place for it ambiance, music & service! It's a simple no-brainer restaurant with a decent seating and they've got the bare necessities right - ESPECIALLY TASTE!

A nice, cosy spot serving authentic Maharashtrian cuisine in Indiranagar. Food was delicious but due to its overpriced menu, rating them 3.5-star.

Good Maharashtrian food but definitely overpriced. The biggest issue I have with this place is the setup and cleanliness. It's a tiny place which is pretty cramped and cleanliness is not the best because its kind of open dining with shaky chairs. Two insects ended up in my Solkadhi because of this. I got the Missal Pav here which was good. Sabudana Vada was standard. Nothing mind blowing. For drinks we got Kokum Sharbat and Solkadhi. Cannot recommend this particular branch because of the way it is setup and considering the price charged. That being said I am yet to find a great place with Maharashtrian food near Indiranagar. 2 wheeler parking is manageable near here and you can keep an eye on your vehicle while dining. Avoid this place if: 1. You are looking for good ambiance . 2. You want value for money food. 3. 4 wheeler parking is a must. 4. If you dislike oily food. Maharashtrian food is mostly oily. Visit if: 1. You want good authentic Maharashtrian food. 2. You are Maharashtrian. LOL.
