★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A government place to stay near the Susunia Hill. We stayed in the AC cottage which we booked through their website. This place has a big lawn with lots of seasonal flowers. The rooms has geyser which is a big plus. But the problem is both the AC rooms share a common balcony. So your privacy is comprised. Secondly there is no food arrangements in this resort. You have to order your foods from nearby Banapalashi resort, which is another government run resort.
Overall this place is great for nature lovers who could deal with these small issue.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I booked the SUSUNIA ECOTOURISM RESORT online via WBFDC dated 4th and 5th under booking ID BK/21-22/3593.
I am really astonished after checking in that why I have booked this destination which costs 2K per day without any nominal facilities? Even this is more surprising that this is under West Bengal Forest Development Corporation… how?
No canteen facility available but as per website it is available.
No drinking water available so I had to get from out side shop which is approx. 0.5 km from resort.
Even they denied to provide toilet soap, so that I had to buy from out side.(No soap was available)
No individual lock available for Rooms So I had to buy a separate lock for my own safety.
No extra door mat available
Even two rooms are separated in such a manner that one family compelled to use common dining space so seems less privacy.
Even in my 24 hour tenure in your facility no one came to ask for our requirements.
I don’t know how you have decided to open this facility for tourists with such worst facilities??
I availed ample facilities of WBFDC earlier but this is the worst ever.
Even I left the resort one day before my check out date.
I request you close this facility and open after proper auditing regarding the minimal facilities required. I will be highly gratified if you can refund some booking amount because I don’t understand the justification of room tariff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a decent picnic spot. But few locals specially around picnic spot are worst. They always intend to pick up a fight to extort money. It's better to visit the restaurant rather than picnic if you are shy person. The shops are good , budget friendly and owners are very helpful. The pahar trail is moderate as the road is not at all constructed.
