About Our Story
In 2001, the first Swagath, a coastal, seafood fine dining restaurant opened in the Defence Colony market, a few shops down from the original Sagar; a comfortable and unique place to escape from the stress of everyday life, to relax and enjoy a fun, casual dining experience..
Over the years, the food offering has become the star of the restaurant, with adding a layer of culinary art to the basic South Indian fare.
Swagath’s prawn gassi, fish fry and neer dosas gradually became cult hits. Swagath also loaded on to its menu staple non-vegetarian Delhi fare, Mughlai and Indian Chinese.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice place to stay in mid of the city and very near to market. Hotel is decent very old but suits the purpose if your target location is near by. Being in the market it is easy to shop.
They have their own restaurant but there are many options in 1 min walk perimeter
Parking is an issue as they don't have any dedicated parking. You might find difficulty to park your vehicle any hour of the daytime.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I booked their hall for 45 people. They said the timing would be till 9 p.m which we agreed on. We told them program will start from 6 pm. But when we reached at 5:45 pm they were cleaning and decorating the hall and at 6 they were unable to serve the water or drink when the quest arrived. It was embarassing. Not even this when the food was served they was no facility to keep it hot. So the guest who had food little late got cold food. Even the bride and groom ate cold food.
Otherwise taste and quality was good except moong daal halwa which was totally dry with almost no ghee.
They also sanitized the hands of all guests and almost all the staff was wearing mask and gloves.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good for the small gathering ... maximum upto 70 people. It's in the basement. DJ is good. Food area is small. Service is good. Food and starters are tasty. As it is in Malviya Nagar main market, be ready to face the traffic. No vallet parking and no separate parking available....so park on road/street. Good option for small birthday parties etc.
