Not very fresh. Visited in the middle of the day so no reason for the sweets to be stale.

The mouth-watering sweets is the only thing i am mad about in Bengali sweets. Must try sweets here.

Sweet Bengal is my go to place when it comes to some serious Bengali sweet cravings !! This outlet is small and i always prefer a pickup !! Tho one can have a quick fix there itself in the store but offers no seating arrangements . My all time favourites are Nolen Gurer ChomChom , Baked Rosogulla and Mishti Doi !! Baked Rosogulla are just perfectly baked with lovely balance of sweetness !! Nolen Gurer Chomchom are so soft with deliciously creamy based topping to go along . Mishti Doi is just made to perfection . Curds set in earthen pot gives it an earthy flavour to it .

Baked Rasogulla was something new to try out...whereas other sweets were good as well.

I came to this place on a working day around 1130. The shelves were being stocked and had to wait for an hour to get all the stuff. There are quite a few varieties of sweets and I have found them to be good. Lot of Bengali sweets like Sondesh which you won't get at other sweet shops in Western India. Prices range from 25-40 a piece. There are savory items too for snacks. Give it a try. You will surely like it. :)

Things to try: Baked Rasogulla, ChomChom, Sondesh, Kheer Kodom. Baked Rasogulla is unique and the best sweet you will have here. It is not too sweet and has a Creamy kulfi taste to it. Sondesh esp. ice cream Sondesh was buttery soft and just melted in the mouth. Kheer Kodom was too sweet as it has a little gulab jamun in it, it could have been more soft but was good. Chom chom is also the best sweet you can have here.
