★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A glorious presence of Calcutta Tramways. Even in the present distress days of the company Trams ply from this depot towards its old routes. With the discouragement of tram-services the company is plying buses and conveniently using this spacious depot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the oldest CTC depots in Kolkata. Earlier, a lot of routes were active which have been since closed. Space has also been auctioned off. Bus services have been reduced to a huge amount. Currently running routes are -
C14/1 (to Madhyamgram via Gariahat / Ruby / Beliaghata / Ultadanga / VIP Road / Baguihati / Airport)
C2A (to Ghatakpukur via Gariahat / Ruby / Science City / Chowbaga / Bantala I.T. Park / Bantala Leather Complex / Paglahat)
Very popular C8A have been terminated in favour of C8 (Joka - Barasat via Sector V)
Other than these, tram services are operated for some routes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Tram system in the City of Joy operated by West Bengal Transport Corporation (WBTC), is the only tram network operating in India. One of the cheapest and safest mode of transport. Tollygunge-Ballygunge Station tram line covers 5.50 km via Deshapran Sashmal Road, Rashbehari, Gariahat. It starts running from 1903 and still running. Tollygunge Tram Depot is now used as Tram & Bus Depot both. Route no. are 29 & 32. The fare of Tollygunge-Ballygunge route is 6 rs. and 7 rs. respectively. I personally love tram ride alot.
