β β β β β Where there is the motive of providing better education to poor people, there this foundation judge a person by words and not by action. And immediately decides their capabilities without knowing them in deep...
I believe that one should not give up on one thought... Giving an opportunity to students to improve in their race should be equally given to teachers as well... I believe, human beings learn to walk on hard way only when they make mistakes and try to overcome it... But this kind of thinking is not being applied in this foundation...
I hope Akansha Foundation will work on it...
Note: this is just my point of view and experience... Please do not take it in a negative way...

β β β β β I went to the Pune office for my thesis work, just to collect information on how they are catering to the needs of these poor children, since my topic was related to the education of these slum kids, I am a graduate student from Symbiosis International.I was not even allowed to stay inside the office, the HR lady took me outside to talk and didn't allow even to talk about it and clearly rejected. And I went there after they replied once telling that they will help me out, but when I contacted again they didn't have the courtesy to reply back. So I gave it a shot to visit their office. A really bad and embarrassing experience.

β β β β β So I had applied for HR profile for Pune location on 4th of Feb.I cleared the telephonic round, then case study round, personal interview, went for school observation spent an entire day in one of the akanksha schools, prepared PPT presentation on the topics given by them and presentation on my school observation. I had my presentation round on 22nd Feb which went pretty good. They liked it so they discussed salary, work environment, work time etc. I had my last round with director on 26th of Feb which went average. After my last round they rejected me saying I need grooming n need to develop my skills n they don't have that time to give me to learn or spend on my development. I agree I need grooming as I am a fresher. My feedback to akanksha is if u were aware that u don't have manpower or time to invest on new joiners grooming u should have initially told me about it so that I would have not spent a month in this process as you had my resume from 4th of Feb. I'l definitely work on my skills. Also u need to work on your manpower planning n make arrangements for new joiners grooming. No one is a perfect package. Everyone needs training n chance. It was my average experience with akanksha.

I am being part of this Akanksha Foundation for over 15 years.
This NGO was all about teaching English, maths, social ethics,sports and child development for underprivileged children after school.
Good enjoyable working place for those passionate people.
Lots of learnings and great experiance.

β β β β β So I had applied for social worker for Pune location I cleared the telephonic round, then case study round, personal interview, went for school observation spent an entire day in one of the akanksha schools, prepared a my plan in writing on the topics given by them.I had my school Observation & Community Round again done. which went pretty good. Then I was also send the pre work on the topic related to the post. After my last round they rejected me saying I need work out on my skills. I agree I need develop all the skills which they need so My feedback to akanksha is if u were aware about i have not skills which required for this post so then they should have initially told me about it so that I would have not spent a month in this process as you had. I was waste of time & money.this is my whole experience with Akanksha.

Run their curriculum. They maintain healthy environment for teachers, aot of support is offered to novice teacher. Parents also get involved in the process of their child's education. It's been a nice experience to work with the akanksha foundation.
