The Dreamz Cafe - Haralur

I have tried their Chicken Shawarma its wholesome, tasty and has excellent portion size. Their Kerala Meals are also tasty, less oily, less spicy. The Grilled Chicken is also good. Needless to say its a good restaurant with very well mannered Staff which is profoundly important.

As one of the poster says Good food Good mood. It's great that you end up getting a nice Kerala meals in this place. For haralur keralites as well as for others, the snacks and Kerala samovar tea is a good catch in the evening. Pazhampori, of course is available here as well.

Delicious and hygienic food, friendly owner, clean place with a good vibe. Loved the Kerala Meal and masala Dosa. I also like to go there for a tea as it is also really good. Must visit if you are in Bangalore.

Kerala, a land well known for it's vast greenery and exotic spices have often attracted people from around the world dating back to 16th century the era of Vasco da gamma and the east India company during the 18th Century. The spices of Kerala standout due to it's terrain of production and it's climatic benefits and due this Kerala often considered or referred to as Garden of Spices. Due to this the Kerala cuisine is always exquisite and majestic. In Kerala has a long list of varieties of foods especially for breakfast which is seldom seen on other states like idilli, dosa, puttu, pathiri, appam, idiyappam, tapioca etc and the list goes on. These are often accompanied by chutney, kadala, payasam, payar pappadam, appam, chicken curry, beef fry, egg masala, fish curry etc. Most of the curries are prepared with the so called exotic spices which includes pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg etc: and due to this our curries always stand out. In the past so many years due to digitalization and industrialization we have lost the appetite to enjoy all the true flavors and we are behind the so called urban foods like subways, burgers, sandwitches etc. Well all is not lost and there are few restaurants which rebuild the same magic using ingredients from the garden of spices and one such restaurant is Dreamz Cafe which is located behind the scenic beautify of Kasavanahali lake on the hosa road. At the entrance of the restaurant we can see the traditional chai vending machine with our Chai chetta preparing tea. At times we get the smell of cinnamon from tea vending machine (cinnamon tea), the smell truly relaxes and soothes you. Along with tea if we grab a bite on the hot parrippu vada or pazhayam pori it instantly triggers emotions and fills us up with memories just like the filling in the same. Apart from pazhayam pori, parippu vada there are other varities like (mostly malabar based kadi's) pazhayam nirachathu, vettu cake, unnakayya, chatti pathri etc:. and always something new is always there. One of the other exquisite specialties of dreamz cafe is the dish called as chatti kanji. During my child hood after playing cricket/goli on the paddy fields would rush back home where after the regular bashing from our beloved mothers we are greeted with a bowl of kanji with pazhar and chamanthi. The smell, the hot fumes coming from the pot, the feeling is totally different and just one bowl would be good enough to energize ourselves with enough proteins. vitamins etc. Nowadays it is being replaced with protein shakes, supplements etc. I don't remember when I enjoyed the kanji last because most of the time it is consumed either when you are sick or your family members are sick. Recently when at dreamz and when asked what's specials today the manager said Chatti kanji, even though initially hesitated then I thought to give it try. OMG that was the first time I experienced the feeling known as food orgasm. Oh man the presentation is simply great it is served to you inside an earthen pot along with pazhar and chamanthi.....the smell, fumes resembled the same hot fumes which i used see it during my childhood.....it was so exotic towards the end of the dinner I had tears filled in my eyes as all the old memories started flowing like paddy fields, the heavy pouring and most importantly Mother's love where a simple kanji tasted so good because it was always served with love. I felt all those with just one dish. Thanks to dreamz cafe!!!! There is 24/7 live counter for parotha counter and it' always hot and classy. A typical Malayalee dish or the most commonly ordered ones parotha and chicken roast. The dish truly stands out due to the fact that parotha is made freshly at the 24/7 counter and the texture, flakiness and the layers are all awesome. I have personally visited the place so many times not just for the food heaven but also the hospitality shown by each staff is noteworthy. As like the saying goes "Customer is King" comes true at dreamz cafe. Would definitely recommend it to my friends and all to explore this place.

Went here post work late evening. Ordered some Rumali Roti Shawarmas with some nice kadak masala and udrak(ginger) chai. Had some coconut cookies as well. The Shawarmas were huge and tasty. They could've done a better job with the Mayo though and some frites would be appreciated. The masala tea was thick and enriching while the ginger tea was too off taste. None the less this place was nice to sit chill relax and have a good sip off your chai.
